Yes. Mnemba is a protected atoll with visibility that regularly runs past 20 metres, healthy coral and resident turtles — a different league from anything you can reach from the beach. Go early in the morning for the best conditions.
If a safari matters to you and you cannot spare three nights on the mainland, yes — Mikumi has elephant, giraffe, zebra, buffalo and lion, and both listings hold ratings above 4.7 across thousands of reviews. If you have four days spare, a northern-circuit safari from Arusha is better value.
